Paul Fishman, USA

Paul S. Fishman MD, PhD is Professor of Neurology, Pharmacology and Neurobiology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and Chief of Neurology for the VA Maryland Health Care System. He received a PhD from Yale, a MD from Johns Hopkins, and trained in Neurology and Cell Biology at Columbia–Presbyterian Medical Center. His research interest is the translation of novel therapies for neurodegenerative diseases including Parkinson’s Disease and Alzheimer’s disease with over 100 peer reviewed publications. He co-founded the programs for Neurotoxin Therapeutics, Deep Brain Stimulation and the Focused Ultrasound Center of Excellence at the University of Maryland.
